Ice Causes Accidents

On the morning of Feb 6th, Station 43 was dispatched to a reported MVA with possible entrapment and fire. Water running across Route 115 in the area of Vincents of NY Pizza froze in the early morning hours and caused two separate accidents in the area. The most severe has a S-10 pickup roll onto its side. The driver was not really entrapped more confined to her truck. A Carbon County Fire Officer arrived on scene and removed the windshield, or what was left of it and removed the patient who was transported by Station 4 ambulance. The road was closed while PennDot cindered the area and Howards Towing removed the trucks.
