Teens involved in one-car crash

Four teens were involved in a one-car crash on Wednesday evening on Rt. 115 near Merwinsburg Road in Effort.

At 7:20 p.m. the driver of the car, a 17-year old male, lost control and drove off the road and down an embankment. The 1993 Saturn sedan, which was severely damaged, hit a tree.

The driver, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was flown to Lehigh Valley hospital.

Two of the passengers, both 15-year-old males, were also not wearing their seatbelts and were flown to Lehigh Valley hospital.

A third passenger, a 15-year-old male, was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center by ambulance.

No information on their injuries is available.

State Police were assisted by the West End Fire Department and fire police and West End Ambulance.

The driver will be cited for several traffic violations.
